Fuzzy Wuzzy Show Rules
- USEF Rules are to apply except where otherwise noted.
- Riding apparel: English/Western Riders must wear boots and long sleeve shirts and hats and or helmets (ASTM Approved). Helmets (ASTM approved) are required in English Equitation classes for all ages and highly recommended for all riders while competing on the competition grounds. Chaps and hunt coats are optional.
- Junior Horse is one that is 5 years or younger.
- MAIDEN – Horse or Rider that has not won 1ST place ribbons at Any Show in the Division entered.
- Training equipment permitted: Hackamores (bosal), snaffle bits, and training aides (i.e. draw reins, running martingales, German martingales). No mechanical Hackamores allowed. Riders may use two hands the on reins.
- Stallions: Stallions may not be shown by a rider/handler under the age of 18.
- Parents/Trainers: Parents and trainers must supervise children and their mounts at all times.
- Ponies: Ponies may be shown in all classes.
- Dogs and Other Pets: Dogs and other pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Please clean up after your pet.
- Classes: Classes with less than three participants may be canceled or combined.
- Office Fee of $15.00 preregistered/$25.00 per late entry (March 16th through the day of Show). The fee is required for each Exhibitor/Rider combination.
- Leadline riders: Leadline riders may not enter in any other riding class. Leadline must be attached to cavason or halter and rider MUST be properly fitted with stirrups.
- Walk/Trot Classes: Entries in Walk/Trot classes OTHER THAN 10 and Under may enter other classes in the show.
- One Minute Gate Rule will be strictly enforced.
- Color Class: Color Class is open to Appaloosa, Buckskins, Duns, Paints, Pintos, and Palominos. Excludes Bays, Greys, Blacks, and Chestnuts.
- Classic Head Class: Horses in the classic head class must wear an unlettered sheet, blanket, or cooler.
- Non-Competitive Riders: Non-competitive riders may enter any class at regular fee. Exhibitor number is to be worn upside down on the exhibitor’s back.
- Perpetual Trophies: Entrants in classes with perpetual trophies must submit a copy of registration papers.
- Trailers: For safety reasons, trailers will not be unhooked on the show grounds.
- Horses must be properly and safely tethered when not in the direct control of their handler.
- Manure: Manure from exhibitors’ horses should be hauled home. Please leave your area clean.
- Green Horse is open to horses in their first or second year of showing and includes all gaits. Trainers may show in this class.
